Paul has been with Boom
since 1999 and is a multi-faceted workshop
leader and percussionist. His keen interest
in contemporary, popular, and global musics
has brought a wonderful perspective to Boom’s
workshops. His knowledge of world music
helps companies think differently about
the way they interact within their own corporate
community and shows them new and exciting
ways to explore their own creativity.
Paul also holds the position
of Professor of Cuban Music at York University,
Visiting Artist in Percussion at the Etobicoke
School of the Arts, and has previously served
on faculty at The Royal Conservatory of
Music and the University of Toronto
Musically his wealth
of experience spans a broad variety of areas
and settings ranging from performing Afro-Cuban
music to steelband, flamenco and Broadway
show orchestras. You have probably heard
him already, as he was a percussionist in
the Toronto productions of “The Lion
King”, “The Producers”
and “Lord of the Rings”.
